got an engine for free
Hi guys, i just got for free a d16z6 engine from a civic si 93. My car is a 2000 civic 4 door and i want to know if its possible to use this motor in my civic? Did any one ever convert to a obd1?

yes, you can use the motor, and if you go to ebay or rywire.com there are harnesses for converting OBD2>1 or OBD1>2, everything else should be pretty much interchangable since they're both Dseries.
Yes you can, but you may want to check local laws before you do that. Obd1 motors in Obd2 cars is not allowed in some area's, for emisions reasons. That is, if you plan to daily drive it.

yeah goodpoint...but that would only matter for smog tests..aka emmisions. To get pulled over and have your hood popped it would be really hard for a cop to pinpoint a motor by the code.
usually they pinpoint it by how many cams you have for that chassis.
