Default B20 VTEC Injectors?

Just curious as to what would be the best size injectors to run in my moderately built B20 VTEC. The setup is a B20B block with 12:1 compression, Arias pistons and Eagle rods. B16a2 head w/ skunk2 stage 2 cams and skunk2 springs and retainers. I was thinking possibly RC 440s, but I am not sure, and I just want some opinions by others who have seen the same setup. Thanks!

You wont need to go that big. Have you tuned the car yet?

It was tuned with the setup right now, using dsm450s and on uberdata , i would like to change out to some rc injectors because I think the dsms are way too big (used mostly for turbo app.) and yeah they will definitely need to be smaller, maybe 270s? I am going to switch to hondata s200 for the new tune though, for it's ease.

270cc injectors are gonna be too small. i usually use 440cc injectors but u can use summin in the 3's but u dont want to star maxing them out.

You need to look into a new tuner if your running rich just because of your injectors. The person that tuned your car should be able to scale back your injectors to run properly for your motor. I had 750s in my B20 because that was all that was avaible at the time. We just scaled the duty cycle way back and it ran perfect. Also you dont need to waste money on s200 get crome its the same thing and cheaper.

It's a long story. I didn't get the car tuned. I bought the car with the motor setup in it, because for what it is I got a great deal. I was about to build a motor for my old car, but when this came up I had to get it. The guy I bought it from built the motor and then got it tuned. He got a set of ITBs and decided to hook em up. He never got the car to run right with the ITBs, and he ended up messing up the air/fuel ratio. At this point the car needed to be retuned. A short time after, he decided to sell the car, and he needed a new tune, so when he sold it to me, it had a horrible tune. Don't get me wrong, it is a very quick car, but I doubt it is putting down more than 170 to the wheel right now. After a retune, I believe it will be capable of 210+.

I have heard two sides to this argument. The current shop I am talking to about the tune, has said that the s200 will allow for a much cleaner, quicker tune, instead of using crome and searching for a starting point.

They should just do a base pull with a wideband hooked up and go from there. They will have to do the samething with s200. I think someone is just trying to upsell you or they dont know how to tune crome that well. A bad tune with a b20 is really bad. The sleeves crack easily under detonation.

Yeah, well I just transferred to a different school, and right now I am able to ride my bike(bicycle) every day to school. The car is not driven that much, and when it is, I don't ever rag on it. Since I have had it, it has not been over 7600 rpms, which is said, because it should be capable of 9k easily. Oh well, after the new tune, I will get my fix. Thanks for all the help, I am just gonna go with the crome. I'll call the shop some time today, and get it set up.

270cc might not be enough with those cams
I'm running a B20vtec W/ITR cams and 270cc prelude injectors......96% duty cycle @ 8500 rpm, the motor make about 210 whp SAE
