how much boost can stock gsr run?
i have a 94 w/ 01 gsr swap, all stock basically and was wondering how much boost will a stock gsr handle? yes i did some research and found nothing i seen this a while ago but now on here anymore, i wanna say it was around 8 maybe 10? but not sure!

These threads get kind of old after a while, but here goes...
-Dont attempt to measure your car's potential in terms of psi because that means different things for different turbos
-if you want a safe DD turbo GSR, stay under 350whp. There are a few things to consider if you're going to attempt that kind of power for a daily though....you need to put together an efficient setup AND have a compitent tuner tune your car. If you do that, you shouldn't have any problems.
I've been at or above the 300whp mark (currently at 315/216) for a year and a half without any serious problems. The only thing that HAS gone wrong was my timing belt but that wasn't related to the turbo at all....

i failed to notice that....w/ the DSM 450s you'll be lucky to make 300whp w/o maxxing them out

ok, well i forgot to add that i do have a 3 bar map sensor coming and a underdrive pulley(crank) on its way too. i run with royal purple oil, k&n oil filter, i have a chipped ecu from http://www.xenocron.com, i bought the engine back in feb with 88k on motor/trans, replaced the headgasket and timing belt too for that matter! i have ngk plugs but they are just the $7 ones and the turbo is from ssautochrome with a t3/t4 turbocharger. my buddy bought it and decided he didnt want it anymore, was never installed and i got it for half the price he paid! so just wanted to get some info but guess it is up 2 the tuner so thanks for the info you all gave
