ok i'm gonna be using a t25 on my turbo project(07 yaris) but this engine runs up to 85psi of oil pressure. so because of this i wanted to know a couple of things:

1: can you run that psi straight to the turbo with no problems?(i'm thinking "hell no" but please elaborate)

2: what would be the easiest way to go about decresing the pressure ont he oil supply? i was thinking some type of block-off valve on the line itself.

3: what would be a good/safe amount of oil pressure going to the turbo?

Is the pressure 85psi only at startup idle, or does it come down when the car warms?

The above situation is common on hondas, and I've installed no restrictors on previous T25 setups, but it couldn't hurt to reduce the flow. The turbo will survive on half that.

thanks for the info on previous setups. i have done a couple of honda turbos and never did any kind of restriction work to the oil supply either. i just wanted to make sure i don't cause any kind of problems to the turbo seals.

 

The Yaris has the 1NZ-FE engine. So just use the feed/drain/restrictor from Greddy. Greddy has a turbo kit for this engine, also, for about $2000, if you want to go the really easy route.

i didn't know greddy had the feed/drain/restrictor and sold it as a separate unit, i'll have to check that out. i do know they have the turbo kit but it doesn't come with a intercooler kit at that price. plus i wanna do it on my own...

 

Well, you can still do a lot of it on your own. In the Greddy kit only the manifold, turbo, and oil feed/drain parts will actually fit, since the kit is designed for the xB. The intercooler, pipes, intake, exhaust, etc will still have to be done yourself. My freind Tyrone is making 120 whp on the kit in his xA with the stock injectors.
