hey guys. I need ur help. I rebuilt my engine with new oil pump, forged piston& rods. Everything was going good until I got ready to do my initial start up. I disabled my dizzy & fuel relay with no spark plugs in. When I went to start it up to get the oil pressure up the starter didn't sound like the typical honda. It sounded like never disengaged. I'm thinking that since the battery has been sitting since april I thought that would be the reason for it not disengaging. So after about 30 second my oil pressure never went up. Would this have anything to do with my battery? I went to take out the stater and put it back in so I could try to build up my oil pressure. well this time when I turned the ignition on my temp guage was almost like the car was at normal operating temp. Is this suppose to happen for such a short period of time?Did I just ruin my engine? I only cranked it once for 30 second.
