Is modifying an Automatic LX Sedan worth it?
but would any1 spend money 2 make a 2002 honda civic, automatic transimission, faster? or would it jus b better 2 make tha exterior nd interior look gud?
p.s. its my first car,or else i would hav bought a standard civic

this has def been discussed before. if your not going to do a kswap, its pretty much just not worth it. you could turbo, but kswap is better. em2 are great looking cars and they can be made alot cooler. concentrate on looks.

An even wiser investment.
An even wiser investment.
Looks mean nothing to me, if I don't have the proper construction behind it. So, I would improve the suspension and brakes, until I could afford power modifications. After all that, then I would focus on the overall appearance. The statement "all I could afford at the moment" should never be applied. Saving until the parts you want are in your budget, should always be your prerogative.

Doing things the "right" way has everything to do with not going cheap on products/construction, regardless of the overall design/inspiration.

I will elaborate. In the beginning when I bought my car it was a 2001 automatic LX Sedan I began modifying the car with cheaper parts to save on cash as I wanted more than one thing at a time.
Instead of buying quality parts I decided things were all the same and companies were just trying to rip me off. My experience with these lower priced items showed me the reason why quality costs more. Yes I could've saved up and gotten the better parts at the time but I didn't have the patience. I ended up spending way more than I wanted to on useless parts that either broke or were worthless used.
Furthermore initially I didn't understand why some shops would charge so much for installations and others were so cheap. Again...I learned the hard way.
This is the reason why I say do it right the 1st time.
You pay for what you get.
Everyone has an idea for their car, whether its different or not who really cares as long as the owner of the car is happy with his car its all good.
If you enjoy your car stock good for you.

yea...I got it..thats why I had to replace my shocks at 25k..or so...cause I had some tenabe springs on it..it gave it a nice ride and stance but eventually the chocks went out, so I decided to put everything back to stock..plus I drive allot..and speed bumps are a bleep....so yea, Im happy with my stock civic....its so smooth..compared to my DA..
as far as the Elise goes..I have a great credit Union...pre approved for 18k, I have 20k on hand saved up so far so..its all good
....Christmas is not far off...

I have a 4dr EX w/auto trans. My plans are to go with suspension and brakes
to get a nice low ride and big brake kit showing through the rims then
body kit probably. Not worried about being fast, all that does is make little
blue tickets, done came to close to getting those already. lol Best thing
is to do what you think you will like and get good parts, or at least steer
clear of eBay junk. lol Good Luck in whatever you decide to do!

Like many have said, as far as power modification goes your practically wasting your time if you looking for speed.
But for the love of everything Honda, if and when you buy parts for it, I understand people have budgets, but don't buy cheap parts just save and extra week or two and get the real deal. You'll save yourself a lot of hassle if you get decent parts.
Also, please atleast try to spell words correctly and try your best at using correct grammer. With typing like that, you will not get any respect around here. Besides, it makes it hard as hell to read, and just pisses people off.
