Default acceptable to tack (weld) a loose arp wheel stud?

ok I have arp extended wheel studs and noticed that one is loose. It isn't fully striped and at this point I can take my lug off. It does however "wiggle" so I am thinking I just tack it in a couple spots and problem solved. What do you experienced people think?

Please don't comment if you don't know what your talking about. thanks

that's fine, just put a nut on it to pull it tight in the hub and weld the back side of it.

I would feel safer using loctite's slip fit locking compound stuff. Any heat-treatable steel can get brittle after welding and crack. If you do weld it, it is a good idea to hit the welded area with a torch until it glows a dull red. This tempers the material back to not being brittle.
