Still smoking, WHY!!!???
So I had my motor (GSR) re-built a few months ago, since it was smoking like a bitch. New bearings, seals, bore, hone, .25 over P30's, ARP rod bolts, head studs, yada ya...
Anyways, it was broken in on the dyno, figured everything would be cool. Drove it around and noticed it was losing oil and smoking again. I brought it back to the shop, they tried telling me it was my head, figured fine, send it to the machine shop. It comes back from the machine shop, had new valve guides put in, and a clean bill of health. New head goes back on, still smoking... Now I'm starting to get irritated, take it back to the shop and they give it a fresh hone and new rings. Guess what? It still smokes like a bitch!
So what's the deal??? I don't get it.

Stock PCV, the PCV is brand new too. I drive anywhere from 300-400 miles a week.

Care to share the full break in method?

how about the valve seals? they can be put on incorrectly and will make it smoke. remember white spring on intake side black on the exhaust.

Nope, valve seals are perfect.
I just don't understand why the oil rings wouldn't seal...

Sounds like you have a shitty machine shop! I work @ my friends machine shop(body shop portion) and you would be amazed @ how much **** he has to redo from other shops. He even has other shops send him their work...sleeving etc.
