crome and uberdata standalone
Isnt crome and uberdata a standalone system or are they considered piggy backs i just want to know what its considered. Tell me what would be a full standalone system for my crx.
I am not exactly sure what the last reply means, but both Uber and Chrome are stand alone systems. Both are used to reprogram the Rom chip inside your stock ECU. Both require no additional hardware attached to your ecu or inline with your ecu like a vafc or other fuel controller which would be classified as "piggyback". in order to tune properly, either will require a wideband O2 sensor to get accurate fuel mixture readings and then you can adjust the fuel curves and do a little tuning. Goto pgmfi.org and read up. I have used both and am now actually running Hondata as it allows for real time road tuning and updating.
I've used crome it's simple and easy to use. All you do is solder in a external 28-pin socket to run external programs that you make. Depends of course on what computer's your using. I run all obd1 in my EF Sedan. Crome is the ****. You can download crome, and just fool around with it to check it out. But you'll need all the hardware to get things running.
My crome setup

Crome
the tools to install the 28-pin socket few resistors, caps, and a i think it's a 20-pin 7latch chip, soldering iron, and solder...
