So i've got stock '99 EX exhaust piping and i'm strongly considering a B18B swap.
What's the stock exhaust diameter on my car.. isn't it 2.25?
Should i be looking into going to 2.5.. staying stock.. or just throwing on a higher flowing muffler and call it a day?

2.25/2.5
Either will work Really. I guess there's a bit of a gain from the 2.5, but a good header would be more noticeable.

I have had my b18b for almost seven years, cheap, reliable, kinda torquey. Most after market catbacks are 60mm and work ok. Personally I think it is probably too low compression to take advantage of a full mandrel bent 2.5in. If I was to go back and redo it I would have gone b18c off the bat. At least do a vtec tranny unless you are looking for max gas milage.

Ha yeah.. i think he meant GSR transmission.
I'm sticking to the LS transmission 'cuz i bought a honda for the gas mileage factor ( when gas was $4/gal in my area & climbing ) and i'm trying to maintain that
So i'd be best off just swapping mufflers?
I don't think my EX muffler would cut it.

Going with a b16 transmission will barely make a diffrence in your gas milage and it will make a huge diffrence in your performance. An B18B with and LS transmission will beat what you have now, but not by much at all.
