Default NOOB with a question PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!

I just recently swapped in a jdm d15b in my 94 civic si (Had a DX motor in it) they sent me a auto ecu, the swap is 5spd. Now it is giving me error code 19 for the lock up solenoid on auto trans, will it still let vtec engageor is vtec not working?? ANY INFO WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED....PLEASE HELP THANK YOU!

there is a thread on here somewhere that shows how to test for vtec, basically, find the vtec sol. wire on your ecu, and put a test light on it. Take a drive, look for the light.

Couldnt tell you off the top of my head if that would mess with your vtec or not. I wouldnt think so, but who knows.

I think you wont have a problem engaging vtec, BUT, the auto ECU has a lower limiter than a 5spd does. You need to find yourself the correct ECU to get things running right. What is it, P06? P08? is the D15b? Cant remember off the top of my head.

it will be easier to check the FAQ thread at the top of the forum, and look for an ECU pinout, then do what I told you. Cant guarantee you will find the thread i mentioned.

You just put a test light in the wire coming from pin A4 (the VTEC solenoid signal wire) and ground it out.

If it engages VTEC, then it'll send a signal through that and the test light will light up.

A4 - that's first cell, 2nd row, 2nd column. Then ground it to any bare metal.
