Default can you put a b20 stroker in a b18a block? bard reasons

i just have a simple ? now i know that u cant bar a b20 in a ef, because its considerd a "suv" motor right? wel i have a b18 block laying aroung, so i was wondering if u can put a b20 stoker kit in a b18 block. i already have the stroker kit for the b20, and if it will work in a b18, then i'll just bar it with a b18 ls motor.

you may be able to do that...then all you would have to worry about is actually passing the smog(sniffer/rollers) part of the test considering you passed the visual inspection

i was thinking that, bar it with the stock ls, then put the b20 stroker in the same block, you think that will work?

I don't think you can bore an LS block to 84mm. I believe you would have to re-sleeve.

Yeah 81 to 84 mm is not going to work. Resleeve and tune. Sounds kinda risky and expensive if you dont pass though.

You can reuse the rods and crank but would need different pistons. Check with the company who supplied the kit and see what you maybe able to do about pistons.
