where can i buy the seals to fix a leaky top other than at honda? also would it be ok to take seals off a non leaky del sol that someone is parting out?

Have you tried lubing the seals up? Or tighten the targa top?

the seals are shot..i just bought the car a few days ago..and the seals are like ripped up and torn

i cant really tell which part im looking for..im looking for the full weather stripping on the targa top and also the weather stripping on the front and rear side roof panel

 

try autopartswarehouse.com, they carry a ton of hard-to-find parts

Just buy a new one. Do it once. Do it right.

Don't much about del sol. But where does it leak. My quess would be the weather strip. Number 14 and 16.

Can you please explain how to do both tightening the targa top and lubing the seals please?

 

I have the exact same problem with my 92 del sol and went to Honda like every1 said to, they can get it shipped from Japan, but will cost me $1600 I bought the car for$2000 so my insurance premium will be more just for these seals and I haven't even put work into yet...

 

take your sun shades off and the interior plastic trim around the roof and take the roof off

where the roof locks bolt take them out and put a washer under the mount bolts so it lowers your roof lock down a little helps but 2 washer was to many

my roof still leaks so bad I minus well have no roof soaken wet swamp smell for days
It drives me nuts

 

Ok I don't fully understand what you mean, but I will try it out and let you know how bad the swimming pool in the cabin is. Thanks for your help mate ill keep you posted.
