HONDA TROUBLE - hit pot hole and engine has cut out
hit a severe pot hole last night and my engine cut out immediately after the impact, the engine hasnt started since. The engine never hit the ground, is not leaking oil and i cant see any damage.....
has anyone got an idea of why the engine would have cut out due to the impact, or how to get the engine restarted?
the engine is a b18 dohc vtec
any knowledge appreciated!
thanks

possibly mate, but i was thinkin it could possibly by a safety mechanism where the engine automically cuts the power in the event of a crash but in this case a pot hole impact..... is this possible and is there any way to over ride this and reset the engine?
check you ground. it could be possible that it got ripped off when it hit the pot hot. i say tranmission ground.

I know some cars have a fail safe. It shuts off the fuel pump if there in enough impact. There is usually a reset switch on the inside near the rear strut.

you are thinking about fords, its called an interia switch. honda's don't have that.
