What happened that prompted you to run the compression test (aside from the car not starting)? The fluid in cylinder 1 must be going somewhere...

What was done to the car?

what happened when it stopped running? it could be a number of things, bent valves, hole in a piston, thrown rod, melted piston or a combination of things. It could also be that you did the compression test wrong.

the car almost died on me when i was driving on the road. i had to pull over
cuz it was dying. but then i turn it back on. luckily i was a few mins away
from home.

but yah it could be a number of things.
- timing
- whole in piston

i dont do engine work so i dont know.
how much will it cost to replace a piston???
I would think it would be wise to replace all 4...
