Default can you re-use bead blasting material?

I'm wanting to try my hand at bead blasting since sand is a little too harsh on aluminum but I'm curious if it's one time use or can i filter it like I do with sand and re-use it a few times until it gets too fine??

what media are you using walnuts, aluminum oxide, glass....?

Ive reused all different types of media with no problems.

i like the finish that glass bead leaves on aluminum.

ok, cool deal. I was gonna try glass beads as well as I hear they arent bad on aluminum. I just didnt know if because they broke up and all, if they were re-useable...hehe.

i would try to avoid going from ms to ss. i've seen rust appear on ss because the blast media was recycled. it actually embeds the material with some of the last material you blasted.
