Default Input Shaft Bearings & Throwout bearing

Just bought a used 2001 Civic EX 5-speed with 84000 miles. I've done searches on google and on here. yielding limited results...I have a DYI explanation bookmarked from another civic forum site and they talk about the Input Shaft Bearings & Throwout bearing (clutch release bearing) being a common problem for this gen civic as my 2001 Civic is having noise issues exactly as described by the DYI. I'm wondering if any one else had this problem with these bearings and how to go about fixing them through a shop (Estimated cost and where to buy these parts so I don't get raped by a shop ordering them for me??). (I'm going back to college soon so i won't have time to fix it up) . I'll be near the Madison, WI area so if any one can please help me out with a good tranny shop near there I'd appreciate it!!!!!

Thanks in advance,

Fong

This was about 10 topics down...

Also found it when I searched... make sure you look over all the features on the search page, there are quite a few different options that can give you many different results.

yeah read that thread and went to civicforums also, read up on there, just trying to find a place where i might be able to get those two parts so a shop doesn't have to order and make me wait even longer :X

Check Honda dealerships directly, because they're going to be your best bet for having the part in-stock. Most likely they'll need to order it as well, though.
