well it is cracking vtec but it seems weak and every time i hit it the check engine light comes on . oil level is fine , its wired correctly , the funny thing is when i go to check the code it has none because when i turn the car off it clears it. i even tried checking it with the car on just to see if it would work but no luck ....anyone else ever had this happen to them?

Seems like u are losing memory. Check to see if ur backup fuse under ur hood is still good.

backup fuse 7.5 is good

 

make sure all the everything on the vtec solenoid is hooked up right and the wires all lead to the correct pin on the ecu. Sounds like the vtec oil pressure switch
