My check engine lights were on so i checked my codes it was the vtec pressure switch and solenoid. So i rewired it the check engine light went off but every time i get in the RPM rang of vtec the check engine light comes on i check it and it is the Solenoid i turn the car off and the light goes off then it will come back on if i try to hit vtec. the motor makes the vtec noise but no pulling or anything. I changed the oil, the solenoid clicked when i put power to it, the screen was clean too. can some one please help???

 

Have you thrown a code for the Camshaft Actuator? That will keep vtec from engaging. Also, what about the Oil Pressure Sending Unit?

Any misfires or anything else?

 

no havent thrown any other codes besides 21. oil pressure sending unit is good. the car runs good without any misfires or anything. My speedometer does not work properly i heard that, that will keep vtec from not working.

 

Besides throwing a code for a the camshaft actuator, I can't think of anything that you havent' done that might make the VTEC function normally. Unless your oil pressure is off, or you don't have the engine warmed up, you should be fine...
