I bought a 92 SI rebuilt motor. did a compression check and every cyl. holds great. now for my prob. when the vtec is hooked up its runs like ****... when it is disconnected it run good until around 5000 it is in time everything seems to be ok. im confused will somebody please give me a couple tips or if this has happened to anyone and they fixed it tell me

well i think i figured out most of the bugs... put a new o2 sensor on, new fuel pump, new fuel filter, found 2 vacuum leaks, and the biggest... oil is getting inside the distributor. buying one tomorrow and putting a new o-ring on it to see if that helps. IF this does not work then i dont know what else it could be ecu is correct and it is not bad. all wire connecters have been cleaned today and di-lectric greae in.
