Default What Kind of Valve Settings Are You Guys Running?

Pretty much what the title says. I'm due for a valve adjustment today, so what have you guys had better luck with in terms of lash settings?

Thanks in advance.

Stock lash...0.007 intake and 0.007 exhaust......
Otherwise, it just gets too damn noisy, and I want to use all the lift of my JUN 3's

Let me add that the motor is 100% stock internally.

Does anyone run a tad on the tight side?

Anyone else try some different settings and see pros and cons?

What about running Cyls 2 and 3 a bit tighter than 1 and 4 to help with cooling? I thought I've read of people doing that...

Ken always did like them loose.

I use stock settings.

OMG!

You guys want to hear something really funny?

I bought the whole totalled ITR and drove on the motor for a total of 3 months now, so i decided to do the tune-up thing.

Guess what kind of plugs it had in it?

AUTOLITE!!!

In addition to the dope plugs it had in it, it also had some Hong-Kong rotor button too.

Before you guys give me the the motor made 175whp and 123ft/lbs. of torque with only an AEM CAI for 99 Si, Tanabe Exhaust for 1992 Civic (the motor's in a Civic), and a kenji-spec P28. Also it ran a 13.3 in my CX at 1100ft. above sea level, so the last thing I thought I would find would be some total **** plugs.

Perhaps with the valve adjustment and the NGK (Honda) plugs it could make some more whp than 175?

That reminds me, I have to get a set of B18C spark plug wires. I'm sure the Cx wires I've been using aren't optimum.

Reid - who wishes this was one of his lighthearted posts...

Oh yeah, I must say that the motor baselined at 175whp, and there was no tuning done because I was just there for baselines.

The cam gears were set at +2 intake and -1 exhaust because my old B18C1 made best power there, so who knows? I might not even have an optimum cam setting for the motor.

:hammern me for not swapping out the plugs when I got the motor, but he had just had a tune-up done (God only knows where because of the ****-parts in it!) so I figured it was all good because the guy had tons of money.
