Default B-series merchanical VSS differences

i have a 93 gsr transmission mated to my b18 motor into my crx. the mechanical vss needed to be replaced because the arm that mounts to the tranny broke.

I purchased a used one that came off a 92 integra but the top half of it(the power steering portion was missing), so i swapped the one off my 93 and installed that one instead. Physically both VSS look different , the casting is definitely diffent. Luckily the piece with two tube(the power steering part) fit back onto the other VSS nicely.

I plan to install and run it like this. So sort of a hybrid VSS, will this affect anything considering both transmission have different gear ratios?

The ends that has the gear that gets positioned onto the differential in the transmission looks similar in size and proportion on both VSS's, but the mounting arm location is different the between the two VSS. I plan to take pictures and show the comparison later tonight after i get off work.

Anyone see any negative effects to installing and running it on the car? i dont want to mess up my gsr cable transmission.

you can even use one from a cable D tranny. They are all the same. As long as you are not actually using that part for power steering.
