ok working on a d16y8. got a used distributor from s&m. it ran for a while but crapped out one day. ive tested voltage all the way up to the coil. but after that i got nothing. so i replaced the cap and rotor. i have continuity in the wires and plugs are good. yet im still not getting spark.

guys have any ideas?

i am having the same exact problem but mine is a msd dizzy and coil also its a b16a motor so if you figure somthing out let me know lol

Voltage goes up to the coil. Does the coil kick out high voltage for the spark? If not, change the coil.

 

well i know your awnsering him but i did i went and bought a new msd blaster ss coil and still a little spark not enough to start the motor any idea

 

ive tested 12v at the coil spring.
