Be prepared for a very poor beam pattern from both sets of lamps.

The stock Civic headlamp housings are not very good to begin with, and when you install a drop-in HID kit that overpowers the halogen optics, the results are a lot of glare and a splotchy, poor beam pattern. The fog lamps suffer from a similar problem.

If you want to upgrade the lighting in your Civic, pick up a set of Philips X-treme Power bulbs for your headlamps and either Philips Vision Plus, or PIAA Ion Crystal H3 bulbs for your fog lamps (depending upon whether you want white or amber light).

^^^^^^^^^ true

i think you will be happier (and other drivers) with the results from some high quality bulbs for you head lights and your fogs.

Elaborate on what? There is nothing to elaborate on.

Do you even know how true HIDs work?

OP, please do a retro fit, or get some decent bulbs. Otherwise you'll get poor light ouput and blind the sh*t out of oncoming traffic.

Plug and play HID's give worse lighting than oem. My phillips x-treme's light 3x as good as either PnP HID kit I had.

the Phillips bulbs are just as good if not slightly better-lite distribution wise as a drop in HID kit. just get some bulbs, you'll be happier. and wont blind the S**T out of everybody on the road at night.
