Default JRSC Still Having Issues

my JRSC is still having problems with the alternator/crank belt walk off the stepper pulley adjusting the tension hasnt made any difference, im wondering if i have a type R stepper pulley becuase the tech guy at moss said that the type R stepper pulley sits further into the alternator then the B16/GSR because this was a used kit my friend bought off of here and i bought it from him, but the setup is a B16 with the JRSC, Stepper pulley, intake, RC 550's, and tuned on chrome pro, if anyone has a stepper pulley installed in there B16/GSR setup can send me a picture i would really appreciate it

here are the couple of pictures i could get

maybe wrong belt?

if it walks off, that may be because its not straight. are the pullys square from each ?other

I had that problem before, I found out that I forgot to put 1 more bolt on the altenator bracket so it was tilted weird enough to let the belt slide over.

i almost bought a JRSC from a kid a long time ago, he gave up on it cause he was having the exact same problem.

I had this sort of issue on my moms minivan, turned out the tensioner was shot, i dont know if this thing is anyway attached to one, but you may wanna check it out?

If the last picture is taken directly over the top of the pulleys, they are not aligned. Maybe you could put a spacer on the pulley on the right.

That was hilarious! Glad to see some justice here on HT!

I've been reading about JRSCs quite a bit (thinking about getting one)
and I've seen belt issues come up a few times. Keep us updated!

Your mom's minivan has a supercharger? I would love to see that.

OP: From the pics, it looks as though the pulleys are not lined up.

I'm pretty sure he was just talking about an accessory belt.

eg. power steering, alternator, or AC.

That's all a blower really is in terms of how it's powered.

The tensioner is definitely something to check, but it seems like one of your pulleys is crooked.

you'd be surprised how many turbo/scharged minivans have been on the market.

Arrrgh.

Just did my motor swap with JRSC.

I have the same problem with the belt walking off. It starts coming off from the top front side JRSC pully working it's way outwards. Im not sure at this point which pully is crooked, but the belt tensioner wouldn't release when I loosened the retaining screw.

I guess I'll start looking at the alternator first cause thats the only piece that I had to add to the motor, then I'll check or replace the idler pully.

Wish me and AP2S2K LUCK!!!!!!!

I feel you pain AP2S2K!!!!!
