Default D-series stroker

has anyone done the D17 stroker for the D16 - I read up on it in a past Honda Tunning.

I am interested in working a project like this but I want to get some insight on it before I jump into it.

thanks in advance

Yes, the GX pistons and internals. THeir from the Natural gas run civic, not the standard d17's as far as i know.

I dont know anyone personally, but if you read the article, they explain how the maker is the only known person (publicly) to have done this.

Made 172 hp , 140 trq.
thats pretty wicked for a SOHC n/a motor.

Only downside is that it took some decent machine time, they had to custom shave certain parts such as crank pully and waterpump to make them fit correctly.

Came to like what.. 12.2 CR? if i remember the article correctly.

I wonder with P29 pistons if it would make the compression somewhere in the 11:1-11:9 range.

I think that would be totally streetable.

yeah the only thing I read on there that I would have to ask around in is who could re-key those parts.

other than that I would have the guy that has always done my work do it for me.

it would be higer, the p29's in a stock d16z6 due to lower deck height are alreadt shaky, the article used an a6 block

That's what bense did.

Take GX motor.

Put Y8 mani/fuel rail/injectors on it.

Go have fun w/ 12.5~:1 CR .

Why not search and find that it is 180cc or 240cc depending on the motor and such
