thursday night we swapped my gsr out of my car, and built a LS/VTEC...

acl bearings
arp headstuds
gsr headgasket
gsr head
BLOX stage B cams
JG adjustable cam gears (both set to 0degrees)
dual valvesprings
walbro 255 fuel pump
hondata s100

we have DSM 450 injectors in it, and the thing ran awesome got it on the dyno and made 190.2 at the wheels ill post up a pic of the dyno sheet as soon as i find my camera. the power curve was pretty damn good it didnt fall at all.

we got off the dyno, and the car just wouldnt start. we messed around for about an hour, and narrowed it down to Fuel...

we pulled out the injectors and got a different set of the dsm 450s thinking that is the problem, now all of the sudden we CANT start my car... if we spray some cleaner in the intake and start it, it starts right up and runs pretty good, idles a bit sketchy with the cams but other than that it drives amazing and pulls hard.

we put a basemap back on and stock injectors and all of the sudden it start right up, but ran like ****.

both sets of injectors we used, were WORKING good injectors....


my question is, has anyone used these cams or close to this setup and had any similar problems???????

and also, if you have used these cams, what did you have your car idle at?? we have to have 1200 idle or it keeps dying....

 

just a question but..... why 450's?

 

because we maxed out the stock injectors and i had them from my last build.

 

i was goin to go 450's then i said expletive a resistor box.. get regular injectors..not peak and hold.. probably where ur problem lies believe it or not.

 

yeah i had a feeling...

 

add cranking fuel in hondata.

 

thats what were doing right now. hopefully it works....
