thinking abuot buying a prelude....but i hear the 98+ ones havea lot of problems...

Not true. The automatic w/ tiptronic trannys aren't good if you're going to be driving the car hard. If that's the case, I'd get a 5spd. If you're just daily driving, the automatic is fine and Preludes are very reliable.

Buy a fourth gen vtec with five speed. Fourth gens look better anyway.

no they do not have a problem. The auto trannies as mentioned aren't too great. Get a 5spd, they are more fun anyway. Preludes burn oil, but besides that they don't have a lot of problems. And yeah like SHPrelude00 said, if you plan on boosting or going crazy with mods, get a base, because ATTS on SH's can't handle it after a while. But if you want a fun stock daily driver, get an SH!

n for the guy who is sayin 4th gen is better
sure...the front and interior is sexy
but overall body n looks...5th gen is the ****!

I have a 5th gen and have never had any problems. I would not get a sh however if you plan on doing alot of mods to it.
