Default Possibly Maybe...

So I might be getting a 98ish lude, the only problem is that its automatic. I refuse to drive anything automatic but I might have to if my old man sells my dc2. So my question is, those with auto preludes, how do you like them? Have you driven a 5 speed and if so is it that much different?

There is a pretty big difference between an automatic and a 5speed lude performance wize. Reliability wize there also is a big difference.

Do not make the mistake of investing thousands in a car which you don't want. You will regret it probaly the same day.

He already has the car. He sells cars as a side thing, and he wants to give me this one because I've had my car for a while and its sort of a beater, and sell my Integra. I really dont want the car, Id rather have my beater 5 speed. Im just looking for opinions.

Performance wise, they suck.. reliability wise, they suck.. UNLESS you dont beat on it, and drive it good, then they are good reliable Hondas... It depends on what you do.

Dont do it. My last lude was an automatic. Blah, that turned into a horrible mess. I got me 5 speed now, its a whole hell of a lot diffrence.

Yeah I would hate to do a swap though. For that amount I could actually get the car I want If this car were 5 speed I'd take it in a heart beat, same color as my dc2, good ole' red.

Your ego as the other guy in a manual car holeshots you from the starting line.

If it's free, I'd take it as a DD.
