At first it would shift fine and lock into gear but I reversed fine then when I put it in first the car wouldnt move. Now it wont go into any gear. It will shift into place but not lock meaning its all loose and with the car on or off its the same. I checked the rod on the slave cylinder and it seems to be extended a bit and not retracted all the way. I can push the rod in by hand but it comes back out. What could cause the shifter to be loose like that?
