The EF chassis i believe has that same solenoid on the firewall seperate from the engine harness and goes to the black box smog emissions and if you have a map not on the TB it will be in the black box. Preludes I believe decided to mount that solenoid on the rail. Just by pass it from the FPR and into a nipple port on the front of the manifold.

When I had my p13 in it and did away with it I never through a code for it just EGR. I used that solenoid on the fuel rail for a different use. I used a 2 wire plug one ground one spliced to vtec and the nipple going to the manifold and the IAB boost air valve on the end of the intake plenum reasoning doing so was, when vtec kicks my secondaries would open.

Just make it look like it's plugged in and working. Or remove it. It will not throw a code, nor change the way the car runs. Let the inspector see what they want to see.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by ESP.net &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">The EF chassis i believe has that same solenoid on the firewall seperate from the engine harness and goes to the black box smog emissions and if you have a map not on the TB it will be in the black box. if it goes from the fpr, to the sol and then strait into the manifold again than it has absolutely nothing in common with the solenoid on the firewall of a crx. That's what I thought at first but it makes no sense.

Do not worry about the empty spot on the crx firewall either.

unplug the solenoid, throw it on the shelf and dont look back. My h22 ran just fine without that. I actually posted the same question a long time ago but cant find the thread or remember what the answer was..

your next headache will be the EGR and then the IAB.. which is why I always suggest that people with an H22 hybrid always convert to a chipped civic ECU. Keep it simple
