Default Manual swap using auto ecu?

I did a manual swap and I thought I could convert the ecu but it's a p2p so no dice. Would the auto ecu be able to work with a manual IACV or should I stick with the auto?

It actually won't even throw a code. When I swapped mine over on my EJ1; I ran an automatic ECU for a week before I got my manual ECU. No codes, no problems. Car drove like a champ.
