i need your help i can't get the last nut off my intake manifold. Its on the bottom closest to the drivers side. i tried taking some plyers and loosening it up but i just started to strip it.

the alternator bracket is in the way. should i unbolt that? would that loosen that bracket so i can have room to remove it? if i do this can i mess anything up? I had this kid take that nut off when i replaced the headgasket i don't know how but he did it. wtf

 

there are only two long bolts to unscrew to take the alternator bracket off..i took it off because one of the alternator screw got damange.so i had to take the whole thing out just to unbolt that screw.pain in the butt but if thats the only way. then u have no choice.good luck

 

never use pliers when taking off bolts in tight areas, u will have a headache later. if u strip the nut than go to sears to get the nut extractor. cost 30 for 5 piece set.
