hey ht.im getting a weird noise coming from my jrsc,its like humming noise.its on my b16.i never got that noise before and the jrsc belt is not on,i dunno what it could be.do you have to put oil in a jrsc?

 

if the belt is not on, then it is not the JRSC.

 

its probably an idler pulley

 

i hear the noise from the jrsc...where is the idler pulley located...i have idle problems since the noise started.it would idle at 2k rpm,it would go down when i rev high then it would idle at 1k.

 

is the JRSC brand new or used?

 

its has about 9k miles

a hum...

could it be from the IACV? they can be loud... but you say your hearing it when the car is running... sometimes you can hear the iacv hum when the ign is off... but throwing it out there.

Anyways, if the JRSC belt is off it aint spinnin.. maybe that hum is the sir making its way past the lobes/bypass valve?
