Default 2200rpm idle while warm......i've searched high and low

MODS: I'm reposting this in here because this is the forum I'm usually browsing, there's more knowledable builders here, and the forum is simply faster...please delete if you want.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY, I'VE INCLUDED DETAILED INFORMATION SO SOMEONE CAN HELP ME OUT!

Up to a week ago, I would start the car, idle shoots up to 2000rpm. It would like to idle there until I drove it for 10 minutes. Then the car would idle at 1500-1600rpm. After driving for another 10 minutes and revving it a little higher (4-5k rpm, stop and go traffic) the idle would come back down to normal 900-1100 rpm. This wasn't a huge deal to me, seemed normal enough, so I didn't bother with it.

After last week's auto-x, car ran the same until the next morning. When I start the car, it shoots up to 2800-3000rpm. After I drive for about 10 minutes, it comes back down to 2200rpm. No matter how long I drive it, it will stay at that rpm.

Searched for vacuum leaks, and there doesn't seem to be any.

TPS has been calibrated not too long ago and I threw on another MAP sensor from a spare d-series throttle body I had; nothing changed.

Throttle body screw has always been tightened all the way in. Throttle plate closes fine. All the nuts and bolts around the intake manifold have been checked...gasket seal is not a problem!

No oil or coolant leaks of any kind. All levels are good. (One thing I might try is to flush and refill all the coolant in case there might be air in there. A month or two ago I did forget to put the cap back on the radiator and I drove the car like that for only 3-4 miles...dumbass mistake I know. I refilled with coolant right away. Could this be causing my problem?)

At fully warmed up and driving around the temp gauge is at normal. (FWIW)

I took off the air control valve on the back of the manifold; the screen looks clean so I didn't bother spraying it with brake cleaner.

My engine builder came over to look around. We're thinking it has to be a sensor problem or a coolant problem. Does this sound like my coolant temp sensor or air temp sensor took a ****?

Please provide any insight you can. This is really bothering me. I don't even want to drive the car because when I'm at the stop light it sounds like I'm trying to race people.

There is a valve near the bottom of your TB, I believe it's the fast idle valve. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on the name. It has a large plastic screw that can back out and cause similar problems. Ck it.

Fast idle thermal valve or Idle air control valve. I had the same problem, cleaned my iacv and still had the problem. I replaced it and the high idle went away.

there's a valve under your tb, it is infact the fast idle valve, you need to take that broze plate off, and screw the nipple like thing, all the way in, using a flat head screw driver..should do the trick.

The fast idle vavle on this car does not have coolant passing through it, again its NEVER been hooked up since the motor was built.
