Default Twin disk info

I just bought a Competition Clutch twin disk for my koop. I was searching around for some info and read something about a pedal stop, i was under the impression i could just install it and go..also is there a break in period for a twin? ive never ran a twin before so any info would be greatly appreciated.

no break in period.

about the pedal stop, on my car i welded a nut to the clutch "arm", down low by the pedal, and put a bolt with a nut. you simply adjust it so you push the clutch down far enough, and not overthrow the spring.

I am also curious... how would I know if I am overthrowing it without a stop?

If it has mettallic discs, I woul just slip it pretty hard several times and it will be broken in pretty good. As far as the stop goes, you can adjust it to where it engages pretty close to the floor and you won't over extend the diaphram. The only problem with that is that your foot will have to travel farther to the floor to operate it, causing more time to push the clutch in. If you do a stop, you can raise the pedal adjustment up off of the floor to keep from having to push the clutch in so far.

if you push the clutch pedal down to a certain point, which allows clean gear change... but you would still have room to push the pedal down further. then you know you are over extending it, by pushing the pedal past that point.
