it depends on how miuch when in cause that happened to me iwth the tranmision oil but i checked it at an auto parts and it was good so just go and check it and they will tell you

your alternator should e alright depending on how much oil you spilled on it. just start the car and find out
on a side note: does anyone else have a bitch of a time getting the alternator out??
