Default notmightydx's build thread

well there are a ton floating around and i thought i would make my own. this is going to be my first build and i hope it goes some what smooth. i am on a budget but i like to think i know a lot about cars and have a good idea of how to accomplish every thing i want on my own, so this way i can save a ton on labor cost..... so here is my 89 hatch that i picked up for $900 bucks, had 81k when i got it.

i gutted it the day i picked it up the previous owner spray painted the entire interior(even the seats!) this look is much better IMO

i got a steal of a deal for a crx dash and door panels($20) installed in like 2 hours orginal miles

another shitty picture of the dash/door panels swap

NO RUST on this car at all no where. i like it

side shot shwing my $30 tint job OEM honda rear cover, used rear filler panel, used tailgate

front shot OEM fender due to shopping cart fit like the OJ glove. hahaha

just a shot of what i started the project with.....

a few thing the car needed right away that i didn't get pics of were brakes. i have a rear disc brake conversion set up in my garage and jdm side markers that i wanna put on this week. parts on order from honda right nw are front bumper cover, some rear bumper brackets and the e-brake cables for the rear disc conversion. i will update every few days. let me know what you guys think. thanks joe

You will be dissappointed in the K-Sport's, get cround control and Koni or Tokico Illuminas and Skunk2 coils.

Or if you want a good spring get the Eibach and Koni/Tokico.

small update ordered the e-brake cables today should be here in a few days. also ordered amber corners and my side marker light harness from passwordjdm. com should have some more update photos by the weekend. thanks for looking Joe

SIred91 thanks so much for the info. i drive 100 miles a day in this car mainly highway so i need something that will give me some what of a smooth ride. i was suggested by a few others to go eibach and tokico so i may go that route w/ rear LCA's and see how it goes.....
