need good advice on this
i purchased my car like 3 and half weeks ago and i've loved it so far with no problems. i do not know when this guy changed the oil last, ect. i can tell by looking that it needs a new CAI filter, so that's definetly coming out of my first pay check. also i wanna change the oil. best oil for a b18c1?? also, what else should i do? i think i'm gonna change the spark plugs too. what else should i do maintence wish though? thanks.
There are amny different schools of thought on oil.
I use quaker fully synthetic. I change the filter every 2500 miles and I change the oil every 7500.
Car runs like a champ, I've been doing it like that for over a year now.

oil and oil filter of course. royal purple is the **** in my book
it's just expensive as hell. if you change the plugs. go with ngk you can get them from your local honda dealer. your air filter. i really don't think it matters which one you get. you can get that poweradder one from autozone for 20 bucks or you can get a k&n from there for about 40. it's your choice

Honda recommends 5w30 for the life of the car on our model civics. I wouldn't use anything else.
