i was wondering if i should get a k20a or k20a2, it like $1600 difference, and which one is more reliable?? ANYBODY know anygood shop around here to do the swap in my EK..

1) do more research, k20a.org is a great place to start
2) research, k20a3 =more money , better flow, it comes out of civic type r. higher comp.
3) k20a2 =cheaper , easier to get parts, still kicks ***. be prepared to drop alot of coin man for both of these swaps , they are very well worth it.
whatever you do dont get the k20a3!!!!!

LOL, I am going to assume you mean the K20A.....
Anyway, the differences between the two are not that great. The A (TypeR) comes with slightly better intake manifold, cams and .5 higher compression pistons. The rest of the engine is identical. Assuming you are also getting the tranny in the package, the R has closer ratios and a shorter final drive along with a better flywheel and limited slip diff.
The intake and cams are easily changeable to much better aftermarket ones for well under the $1600 difference, but the tranny stuff is not so if the tranny is included, then I would say go for the A over the A2. If you are just looking at engines and the difference is $1600, then get the A2 over the A.
