HElp changing Front Rotor
Got my first dr CB7 and the only problem it has it that when I brake even a little tab I get a huge Shake and couple people tell me it's the brake rotor and they do look pretty warped soo does some one have a write up on how to change the rotor ...< >
I have a 94 Accord and the front rotors are pressed on. I don't know if this is the same for different generation Accords but I had mine professionally replaced. There is a way to dyi but from what I understand, one should be really cautious when doing it as not to pop out the bearings.Forgot where I saw it but there was step by step instructions with pics for replacing pressed on rotors.I'll look for it and post it if I find it.
it shouldn't be too hard after the wheel is off. i am guessing there is like one or two bolts that hold the caliper on and once that's off it's just a couple bolts on the rotor. i haven't done it on my accord yet but if you can get a haynes manual at autozone or something it will explain it all in there.

Someone asked me before how many times I would have to say this but I'll say it again........ 90-97 Accord front rotors are NOT pressed on! Sorry, but it's aggervating to keep seeing people type that. The rotors are bolted on (not pressed) and trapped behind the hub due to the hub-over-rotor design. To replace them there is nothing pressed together but in some cases a press is needed because of parts being too rusted together.

yes, all 90-97 Accord have the same style (hub-over-rotor) front brake design.

no need to look, it's located in the Accord FAQ under the "Brakes" section.

Nope. I don't want to sound rude but you should do some more research on these brakes before giving out advise on how to replace them. Again, I don't want to sound rude or anything but these are the worse brakes to work on and are not easy in most cases. Someone reads your post and thinks to themselves "hmm.. that sounds easy I can do that" and then gets them selves into trouble because they can't figure out why the rotor wont come off after they've removed the caliper and the four bolts on the hub face.
Also, the best manual to get is a Helm manual, the Haynes and CHiltons don't compare. They are pricey but well worth it

like I said above, there is a write-up on how to replace these brakes that is linked in the Accord FAQ. In that write-up there is also a good amount of discussion about how to replace the brakes. If you still need more info, just do some searching in both the recent and archived threads of the Accord forum for more discussion about the brakes, it's been brought up more times than I can remember.
