anyone know the oil capacity of a b16a2? bout to change oil but forgot how much.

I think it's really ~4.25 but it will be close enough since it's already had oil in it.

 

so 4.25? Thanx. Is there any difference in oil filter brands. I have heard oem is best or puralator is best aftermarket, and to never use fram. is there any reasoning or truth to this?

the Honda manual recommends 5w30 for the life of the car.

 

i get 4qts for my b18c1 everytime i do an oil change and it gets to the max line before i use up the last quart. i would think the b16 is the same.

 

i bought 10w30. seemed fine before, should i switch next oil change to 5w30? or does it not matter that much?

 

honda recommends 5W-30 or atleast for the gsr but i doubt itd be any different with a b16.

5w-30 is what you need.

 

4.2qts of 5w-30. even ask the guys in the EM1 Crew thread.

5W-30 FTW unless you are turbo'd

 

i work at a jiffy lube. the computer system recomends 3.8 qts for my b16a and i use 5w-30 royal purple.
