i had a stage 3, 6 puck on my LS trans, with a lightened flywheel . my j1 trans has a findanza (spelling) flywheel and an "organic" clutch (clutch/flywheel came with they trans)

after i swapped trans.... ys1/ls to my XSi-j1 trans no lsd the pedal is gradually getting harder... or it could be my imagination
why would my pedal feel harder? i think............................ symptoms please?

the only reason i can think of is something to do with the cable...
the pressure plate on my ls trans was a way more heavy duty plate then one i have now so shouldn't the one i have now be softer...?

Did you grease anything when put the trans or check the clutch release shaft?

 

Brand has alot to do with it as well..

For example,I had a stage 3,6 puck F1 clutch kit,and the pedal was as soft or softer then a stock crx.

Yet an exedy stage 1 felt 4x stiffer.

just something to think about.

 

i actually forgot to grease the shift release fork when i replaced it... the stage 3, 6 puck and flywheel were XTD and i was extremely happy with them... i guess i gotta find out what brand the clutch and pressure plate are in the trans now....

another q:
can i use my clutch setup from my ls trans ( 90 teg) and put it on my j1 trans (90 -91 XSi teg)????????????????
