Default Stupid Question 2.0: Whats the key thing on the floor?

Is it some sort of trunk lid latch lock, or gas cap lock? perhaps fuel cut? Does it start the automatic self destruct sequence? What exactly is the key hole on the driver floor near the door for?

its to access the planet destroyer, either that or it locks the trunk release cable so you can't pull it.

It locks the trunk cable so a valet can't open it. It can only be locked/unlocked with the master key, not the valet key. Similarly, the trunk lock on the outside cannot be opend with the valet key

Which is only fair since the passenger side door can be opened with any key.

Weird enough, but my 2 Preludes keys will open the doors and trunk on each other but not start each other. Lazy *** Honda engineers!
