Will a H23A replace my H22AH as a drop in replacement
My daughter has a high mileage 1999 honda Prelude and it needs a drivetrain (eng/trans) rebuild or replacement. Will a H23A with the triptronic directly replace the stock H22A4 2.2 with tiptronic? that is in it now? thanks

With him having said that I'm thinking that not all h/f auto trannys may be compatible.

I assume your talking about the actual JDM H23A Vtec, The motor will bolt up easily, but I highly doubt your going to find one with the tripto-tranny still hanging from it. Think about it, 2000 JDM Accord tranny and shift linkage in a prelude. That might be a little tough.just get the motor and bolt it to your original US tranny(like mine
