Tranny fluid change with Quaife - same volume as stock?
I've always changed my transmission fluid the proper way, but now that my car is lowered, and my garage isn't level, I don't quite trust the fill till it spills method. A few months ago when I changed the fluid, I jacked the car up on the driver side for quite a long time in an attempt to drain every last drop so I could measure exactly. Then I jacked up the other side so no fluid would drain out, and attempted to add the precise amount that the Helms manual states (2.3 quarts = 2 quarts + 9.6oz), but it wouldn't take it. I have no idea at what point the fluid started flowing out. I just did the best I could. Does anyone know if the Quaife takes up more volume inside the transmission, so that you can't add as much fluid?
I thought about filling through the VSS as some people do, but I don't know if I'd be overfilling it, and the VSS on my Si seems like a bitch to get to without moving **** out of the way.
If anyone knows the answer to this, I'd appreciate the help.

The Quaife ATB does take up slightly more volume than an open diff, but it really doesn't matter.
Filling a transmission isn't an exact science. If you are really that ****, just level the car before filling. I have never been able get the exact amount of transmission fluid specified by the manual into the case. I typically just jack the rear passenger side slightly higher than the front driver's side and overfill it.
It doesn't matter if you overfill it slightly (just like with the engine oil, "slightly" obviously not meaning an entire quart over, or even a half quart over). More oil will actually help prevent premature input shaft bearing failure. However, it will cause a mess when changing axles.
