Default header / oil pan removal & installion. (many pics) (DIY, write up, etc)

kind of a write up, but more of an informant-type post with pics for future ref.

as i say in all my DIY's and writeups...

had to clear up space in my trunk...

perfect day to do so too, my day off.

enough of these headers, they had to go. my first post on HT was how to change an oil pan without dropping the DP, my bolts had rusted to the header.

end result of my first post. hacksaw driven.

stripped my drain bolt, oil drippage. little by little it adds up, my 5w30 aint cheap.

hacksaw'd, again. goodbye rusted header+dp combo

yes, i did hacksaw, 45 mins.

nice lil OEM + aftermarket package i put together.

looking better now...

cheap expletive gaskets that came along with...

small hole, didn't like it : so i double gasketed

like i said, my 5w30 is not cheap. if i have a leak, i'm kickin out for it.

i was thinkin this hamp filter was too small for my car compared to this one :

gettin ready to lay my permatex down (hondabond . ultra flange w/e pleases you)

lookin good, now i just needed another set of hands to help me lay it perfect.

my brother in his early honda years, he likes eg & ek hatches.

hamp jr. filter sitting nicely on a nasty block. undercarriage soon to be pressure washed.

header awaiting downpipe attachment.

eww, oem exhaust

o2 sensor, later relocated above front mount

almost done....

game over.

Great write up bro! But the headers you removed, were they the stock headers? or aftermarket?

HI i have 99 accord ex 2.3 vtech or f23. i just put a set of header and full exhaust on. the exhaust first then the header after exhaust i noticed power gain and no problems but when i added the header whenever i hit the fuel driving i get a hissing/ whistle noise. all mods are fuel rail, injectors, cold air intake and the header and exhaust anyone know anything. ive bin told by two garages i have no leak the header makes that noise but doesnt make sense to me. thanks
