best way to remove rear glass?
okay well im doin the body work on my 97 integra and i got the windshield mouldings and the door mouldings off... but whats really gonna bug me is if i do all the work and dont remove the mouldings around the quarter windows and the rear hatch.. i believe the quarter windows are one peice with its mouldings so the whole window has to be pulled correct? whats the best way to do this? and how about removing the rear hatch moulding?? i searched and come up empty handed....
im gonna be doing the body work myself but im getting it painted somewhere dont know yet.. i dont want to spend no more than like 1200 on the paint.. any suggestions of shops in the bay area? i though of going to like maaco or earl shwiebs.. and get the top paint job and pay for extra coats of paint and clear... but i dont know... any suggestions????

Quarter windows and molding are one piece. Those along with the hatch glass need to be taken out professionally. Shops around here charge in the neighborhood of $75 per window to pull/reinstall. I found a glass guy who did my car as a side job and pulled/reinstalled front/rear/quarters for $200. Bite the cost cuz it'll pay off a lot in the end result of the paintwork. Just shop around.
so since nobody had any idea on how to remove the rear quarter glass i went in and finally figured it out at some sacrifice... i did end up breaking one of the quarter windows but... after breaking it i finnally found a good way to remove the rear quarter windows.... i hope everybody learns from my mistake... so heres the how.... i dont have pictures but ill try and describe this as well as i can...
TOOLS: Metal scraper, a strong fan and a torch
PREP: remove your interior panels around the window...and the rubber gasket thingy then place the fan and get as much air circulating as you can...
THE HOW: heat the scraper with the torch then from the inside slide it in the edge of the window and kinda used it to cut the sealant/glue. reheat the scraper as needed and go all the way around the window then pull back on it.... and as long as you did get most of the glue it will come off like cake... i wish i would have figured this out before i accidentally broke my other window but owell nobody was nice enough to post any info on it so thats why im doin it... because you DONT need a pro if your a do-it-your-selfer.... i have not put it back in so i havent decided on how to do that.... but yeah its just a little sealant...

they make an air knife to remove glass with, saves alot of time. on the rear glass 3m makes a special lifting tape that slides under the molding and lifts the rubber up so the new paint goes under and not on the moulding. works great. it wont work on the side glasses, the mouldings are to tight to the body.
