white smoke = burning coolant
grey smoke could be different things, if dark than it could be you are running rich but if its light with a blue tint than it might be your burning oil

What he said, white smoke is coolant, black smoke is running rich, and blue smoke is oil. Have someone rev it up in nuetral and stand behind the car to see what color it is. Also if you want all your hard-earned parts to last I'd suggest getting it tuned, that chip is junk and so is a VAFC.

the chip its self is not junk, but the fact that its not properly tune to your car is the problem,

also as far as reving with some watching for smoke, have someone drive behind you and watch for smoke, cause vtec wont engage in neutral.

That's like saying a totalled car isn't junk, it's just damaged.
