OBD1 MOTOR IN A OBD2 CAR

Default OBD1 MOTOR IN A OBD2 CAR

ok i plan on putting a OBD1 second gen b16 in my 96 hatch that currently has a OBD2 99 gsr
in it these are the parts i plan to buy

Sec gen B16-$ 999.00
P-30 ECU -$ 200.00
OBD2 to OBD1 Jumper harness-$ 65.00
New intake- $ 60.00
Plugs and wires- $ 50.00
oil,filter,MTF,and etc $ 33.00
Grand total $1407.00
My question is can i just swap the motor and plug in the ecu using the jumper
or am i going to have to rewire somthings like ,injectors,dizzy,etc if so please let me know

First off is this going to be a track car only?

The reason I ask is that you will not be able to register it in CA. with a OBDI motor in a OBDII car. The motor has to be the same year as the car or newer to get bar'ed.

Might be time to re-think your plans.

My car is already bard for a 99 us spec gsr i dont really care if it is legal or not i run the city i live in LOL
